Q&A

Q. What was it that drew you to Armanino?
The positive, supportive culture and the large number of young professionals were the first two indicators of what a special firm this is. Having the support of your colleagues, leadership and the firm is a must to thrive. Young professionals are the future of our organization — they bring fresh ideas to the table, they have contagious energy and they want to be a part of a rapidly growing organization that will provide them with the most opportunities.
Q. What do you predict the future will look like for clients in the industries you serve?
Companies have shifted to grow at a rapid pace in a short amount of time, so there has been a shift in our clients’ needs. A lot of adjustments need to be made, from staffing to investments, and all these things need to be reevaluated periodically based on the economy. Having a trusted advisor who can help in this space will become even more valuable.
Q. Without naming names, tell us about your favorite client and why you enjoyed working with them.
One of my favorite clients in the entertainment industry had to shut down for a short period, and they genuinely thought they would not make it. We worked to find every possible benefit we could to help them through it. With some creative thinking and hard work, they were able to pull through. Seeing their thriving business today after so much hardship is a reminder of how impactful we are in our clients’ lives.
Q. What’s your proudest moment?
I was handed an audit project that was already three years in the making. Both the auditor and client were unhappy with how things had gone and patience between them was dwindling. It was a very complicated audit that ended up going to appeals but I was able to come in, do what needed to be done and finally complete the project. It was one of the most difficult projects I’ve worked on but the outcome was so rewarding.
Q. What do you love most about your work?
The relationships I’ve built with clients are one of my biggest motivators. We get to know one another by sharing the business aspect of our lives and then start to know one another on a more personal level. Our great business relationships often turn into friendships.
