Q&A

Q. What was it that drew you to Armanino?
A unique combination of factors that harmonize with my professional goals. The focus on client service and deep industry expertise, along with the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals in an environment that thrives on collaboration and knowledge-sharing, was captivating. Armanino isn’t your typical CPA firm, and our culture isn’t just about performing tasks, it’s about building something bigger and working collectively towards the same goal. The enthusiasm and motivation that radiate from every team member reaffirmed my decision.
Q. What do you predict the future will look like for clients in the industries you serve?
Increasing globalization will significantly shape the future. As corporations continue to expand their global reach, their taxes will become increasingly complex, necessitating compliance with international regulations. Companies will need to optimize their operations in an evolving landscape. Additionally, as we continue to welcome new immigrants, there is a growing need for professionals who can help them navigate the complexities of the tax code. Many of these individuals arrive with little knowledge of the tax system and, in some cases, face language barriers. They need provider who can give them reassurance and guidance in their new environment.
Q. What is the toughest decision you have ever made?
After graduating from college, I worked in China, then went to France to study hotel management. Eventually, I came to America and decided to go back to school to get my master’s in accountancy. Deciding to go to a foreign country to start working by myself and leaving all my family and friends was a tough journey that required me to be very brave, but I grew so much from the experience.
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life?
My mom is my role model. She passed away when I was young, but she taught me to be positive and never give up, as well as encouraged me to overcome the many difficulties in my life including leaving my home country to do things I’ve never done before.
Q. What do you love most about your work?
Knowing my effort makes an impact on my clients’ lives is inspiring. I’m always motivated to do more for clients, and I love it when I can go beyond providing a service to my clients and become a true advisor.
