Q&A

Q. What was it that drew you to Armanino?
I wanted the ability to have an impact on who we are as a firm, how we serve our clients, and how we develop our people. Armanino’s focus on empowerment has allowed me to take charge of my own ideas, form valuable client relationships, and lead trainings that encourage learning and development, directly impacting the firm at all levels.
Q. Make a prediction, describe your vision of the business future.
The business environment will be much faster and intuitive. Technological advancement has already accelerated dramatically and continues to do so, producing a breadth of information faster than we’ve ever seen before. Companies need to be in a position to learn, obtain and capitalize on the information availability or ultimately, they may not survive.
Q. What keeps you up at night?
Development of our people and future leaders; it’s important to me to continually think of ways to encourage professional growth and help others understand what they’re doing and why they’re doing it.
Q. What’s your proudest moment?
When I think of proud moments, becoming a true partner to each of my clients is top of mind because it’s an aspect of my career where I reach the pinnacle of that relationship.
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life
My wife, Katie. She believes in me when I doubt myself, and she’s my biggest supporter.
Q. If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to aspiring accountants or consultants, what would that be?
Value relationships; everything we do (within the firm, with clients, and in life) revolves around our relationships and the quality of those relationships. Start building those relationships and your network early on in your career, and then continue to reinforce them.
