Q&A

Q. What was it that drew you to Armanino?
I’ve known several Armanino partners at the Dallas office for many years, and I’ve always professionally admired them and had a great personal connection. By joining Armanino, I could still provide the high level of personalized service to clients, while gaining access to the firm’s wide range of services and deep bench of industry experts. The client-centric culture made it an easy “yes” when I had the opportunity to join.
Q. Without naming names, tell us about your favorite client and why you enjoyed working with them.
I work with a lot of families, many of whom I’ve known for 25 years or more. They often have complex tax and accounting needs, and I know they appreciate the work we do and almost always take our advice. I consider them to be more like family or friends than clients. It’s my personal connection with clients that allows me to better understand their goals. The insights I gain from getting to know them allows me to not just file forms, but truly guide the choices and decisions that help them achieve their dreams.
Q. Describe your work style.
I would say the best way to describe my work style is relentless. I do not finish a project unless I know we’ve done the best job possible for our clients.
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life
The most influential person in my life is probably my wife. I don’t always follow her advice, but I certainly listen to it.
Q. If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to aspiring accountants or consultants, what would that be?
The harder you work, the luckier you’ll get – but make sure you have balance in your life.
