Experience
I don’t let perfection get in the way of progress as I believe in the power of continuous improvement. I focus on the big picture, helping others see how individual contributions can impact both the team and our strategy. My aim always is to find practical solutions.
As a parent, I find some of the smallest moments are the most meaningful. Teaching my kids how to ride a bike was one of those moments. It brought such a sense of accomplishment for us, and it was a reminder that life is about sharing the things that matter with those you love.
I grew up in a blue-collar family, so I wasn’t exposed to college or being a professional. While I was still in high school, I worked with a gentleman whose wife was an accomplished executive and she became my role model. Watching her — how she operated and the way she carried herself with confidence — was a learning experience.
Allow curiosity to lead you, ask genuine questions and show real interest in helping people. This is how you’ll go far in life.
I want to be impactful for our staff. What keeps me coming back are questions like “How can I help our team?” and “How can I empower them to be successful and grow?” Accounting can be such an intense career; I like to help our team be efficient and get home sooner. I enjoy putting processes and technology in place to help our company be better.
