Q&A

Q. What is it about accounting and consulting that first drew your interest?
I’ve always had an affinity for numbers and appreciated the logic and clarity of accounting. I had a high school accounting instructor who was very passionate about accounting and he recognized my aptitude for it. I was drawn to his passion and ultimately, it became my own.
Q. What keeps you up at night?
The accelerating pace of change in this day and age is something that is top of mind. Perpetually staying ahead of the curve – managing and initiating change rather than reacting to it – is crucial to sustainable success.
Q. Make a prediction, describe your vision of the business future.
Q. Describe your work style.
Collaborative, passionate, responsive – I truly enjoy being a problem solver and doing that in an environment where all members of our team are able to share in the positive effects of great results.
Q. Who is (or was) the most influential person in your life
My mom. She was immensely supportive and encouraging.
Q. If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to aspiring accountants or consultants, what would that be?
Accounting is beyond the numbers; it’s an innately human experience. The numbers are the means to arrive at and communicate a solution. Don’t let the numbers confine you; be creative, think beyond them and focus on the interpersonal relationships – your career will flourish.
