Christy is a recognized expert in international taxation, specializing in resolving complex cross-border tax issues for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
She advises global private clients on a wide range of U.S. inbound and outbound tax matters, including pre-immigration tax planning, foreign investments in U.S. real estate, income tax treaty analysis and planning, U.S. residency planning and management, expatriation strategies, and outbound business structuring. Christy also manages comprehensive tax compliance for U.S. taxpayers with foreign inheritance, foreign trusts, foreign corporations (including controlled foreign corporations and passive foreign investment corporations), and foreign partnerships.
Christy holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California and a Master of Studies in Law in Taxation (with distinction) from Georgetown University Law Center, where she also earned an International Tax Certificate. At Georgetown Law, she was honored with the prestigious Thomas Bradbury Chetwood, S.J. Prize, awarded to the top performer in her degree program. Christy is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in California.
