Brett is a finance and accounting leader with over 20 years of experience providing exceptional service to large SEC registrants, several private companies, multiple startups, and private equity clients.
Brett spent many years with top accounting firms analyzing and supporting complex business transactions and valuations during mergers. He also spearheaded fresh start accounting projects and reviewed elaborate contracts, including asset purchase agreements, revenue/sale agreements, debt agreements and significant vendor purchase agreements.
With his deep understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Brett has helped SEC audit clients optimize internal controls and supported his clients through many IPOs, de-SPAC transactions and other public debt and equity filings.
Alongside Brett's significant interest and exposure to complex accounting guidance for business combinations, impairments and SEC reporting, Brett is skilled in revenue recognition, debt and equity instruments, inventory and share-based compensation arrangements.
